I have what I feel are the best free stock photo sites that I use regularly, but I did some research for this post to expand on my favorites to give you a well-rounded look at the free stock photo sites out there! Instead of doing a google search and sifting through it all, I did the work for you! 🙂

My Favorite Free Stock Photo Sites:

  • Pexels: This was acquired by Canva in May 2019 and I adore using Canva to create social media graphics. The search tool is amazing in terms of being able to really narrow down what you’re looking for. You can search “turquoise book” and actually get books or backgrounds with a book in them that have turquoise as the main color.
  • Pixabay: This site also ranks up there for fantastic searchability. (yep, I just made that word up! LOL!) You can get pretty specific with what you’re looking for and the tags on the photos are great to click through and see what else may be available. Or to help you think of a search term that you weren’t focusing on before.

Other Free Stock Photo Sites I have discovered recently:

  • Unsplash: I love the variety of photographic styles this free stock photo site offers. Many of the photos have a different “feel” to them than the images I see at Pexels and Pixabay. I think Unsplash is an untapped resource for many in the female micro-business world.

I highly recommend checking it out! Only word of caution on this site is that your search terms need to be a little more broad and I don’t feel it’s as easy to navigate as the two sites above.
  • Rawpixel: I was pleasantly surprised when I visited this site! There is a LOT of variety of what it offers! Not only does it have free stock photos, but it also has graphics (illustrations and artistic elements). It offers JPGs, a few PNGs, as well as Vector images!

(Note: Vector or .eps files are used in Photoshop or Illustrator. But many of the images on the site can be downloaded as EITHER JPG or Vector.) I love the ability to filter by size, type, style, etc.

This site really honestly surprised me and I look forward to delving into it more. If you are working on designing your own branding, this is a great site to check out! There are many design elements (such as brush strokes, frames, etc) available that are a little higher quality and professional looking than what you might find for free in sites like Canva.

I may just have to add Rawpixel to my top favorites! The more I look at it the more I fall in love with what it has to offer! There are tons of images for free as well as some premium. Be sure to click the filter to search by ‘Free’ if that’s what you’re after.

Note: You can download 5 images for FREE a day. Or you can purchase a premium license for a minimal charge for unlimited downloads.
If you use this link: https://theradiancemindset.com/RawPixel we BOTH get a FREE MONTH of PREMIUM DOWNLOADS! How awesome is that?!
  • Burst: This free stock photo site is run by Shopify so the focus of these images is for use in online stores. You might have to dig a little on this site to find what you’re looking for, but I found it to have some pretty cool, unique, artistic images.

This one might not be for everyone…but if you’re looking for something on the more creative side or something that is just plain a little different, then check this one out!
